We take a lot of care to fill and seal your water properly, but the last stretch is yours: where the jar sits, how it is opened, and who touches the tap. A few habits make a real difference, especially in a Jaipur summer.
Where to keep it
- Keep jars and bottles in a cool, shaded spot, away from direct sun.
- Do not store water near the bathroom, cleaning chemicals, petrol or paint. Plastic can pick up smells.
- Keep jars off the floor if the floor is wet or dusty.
Opening a jar
Wipe the neck and seal with a clean cloth before removing the seal. Lift the jar carefully onto the dispenser, and avoid touching the opening with your hands. If the seal was already broken when the jar arrived, send it back.
How long does opened water last?
Unopened water keeps well for a long time, and the packing date on the label will guide you. Once a jar is on the dispenser, finish it within about a week or two. In hot weather, use it sooner. If the water starts to smell or taste odd, stop using it and tell us.
Keep the dispenser clean
- Wipe the tap and the drip tray often.
- Empty and wash the reservoir at least once a month.
- Use only a mild, food-safe cleaning solution and rinse well.
- Never use a dispenser tap to fill other containers that have not been cleaned.
Small bottles and campers
For 12 litre campers, keep the cap on between uses and pour instead of dipping a glass in. For small bottles, do not leave them in a hot car. Heat can affect both the plastic and the taste of the water.
Do not top up old jars
Pouring water from one jar into another, or refilling single-use bottles at home, brings in germs. Use the jar as delivered, and return empties for refilling.
