We deliver water in six sizes, and customers sometimes tell us they have been buying the wrong one for years. Here is how we usually advise people.
200ml and 500ml: for guests and events
These are the small bottles you hand to someone at a meeting, a school function or a wedding. They cost more per litre than a jar, but nobody has to share a glass or wait for a refill. Because they are sealed individually, leftover bottles can be used the next day.
1 litre and 2 litre: for personal use
A 1 litre bottle fits in a bag and lasts most people a morning at work. The 2 litre bottle is handy for a small family that does not have a dispenser, or for keeping on a desk. If you only need water now and then, these are the practical choice.
12 litre camper: the in-between size
The 12 litre camper is insulated, easy to carry and works well for small shops, clinics and homes with one or two people who drink a fair amount of water. It is lighter than the big jar, which matters if you live upstairs without a lift.
18 litre jar: for offices and big families
The 18 litre jar is the workhorse. It sits on a dispenser, gives you the lowest price per litre and cuts down on plastic. Offices usually need one jar for every eight to ten people over a working week, though this changes a lot in summer.
How to decide quickly
- Family of four at home: one or two 18 litre jars a week, or a 12 litre camper if you are short on space.
- Small shop or clinic: a 12 litre camper or one 18 litre jar, plus a few 500ml bottles for customers.
- Office of 20 people: two to three jars a week, more in the hot months.
- Function or wedding: 200ml or 500ml bottles. Read our event planning guide for numbers.
